A Lesson in Aussie English 1

Aside from the accent, understanding Aussie English was a chore at first. They use a lot of slang and shorten almost every word. I don’t know if it is just because a lot of my Aussie “relos” are “truckies”, but they tend to curse more than anyone I have encountered in my travels! Below you will find a list of some of the more common Aussie slang words. If you plan on visiting Australia, this will help you out a soon as you land!
